At first, I was doubtful about the necessity for an Intimacy Choreographer for my plays. Most of my plays are sexually themed. And at this point in my career I’ve written and directed quite a few. But having Nedra made the work more concise and the level of mutual understanding was heightened. She made a positive difference. She was also the Covid Compliance officer for my film, If I am Good. She worked diligently to keep each of us safe and abiding by the guidelines. I strongly recommend her.

The creative shelter is a place where people open up their hearts and go deep to find their inner artist. Being vulnerable is the only way to get there. Having Nedra made everyone feel safe, where there is trust there is creativity. We are beyond thankful that we made the wise decision to have her as a part of our process.

I have known Nedra for a Minute or Two. It’s wonderful to see her evolution as a professional. We have long worked together as Actors but bringing her to the rehearsals for Revenge of the King as an Intimacy choreographer was an asset to the rehearsal and the development of the play. She knows theatre from all angles from Actor to Director to light Operator, Stage Manager and even Janitor when needed. Her attitude is great and her knowledge and professionalism a blessing.

If I were an actor performing a scene in which I was asked to simulate sexual activity with another actor, and perhaps be or completely naked, I would not want to feel naked emotionally. I would want someone with the sensitivity, the intelligence, the warmth, and the compassion of Asha Mollier on set to in the rehearsal room supporting me. I would want Asha Mollier herself.

Asha and Nedra were invaluable to have on set for my short film. Not only did they make sure that the actresses felt comfortable with one another and choreographed the scene beautifully, they also ensured that the set was a safe space in regards to the other crew members. Having them there really allowed us to do our best work, because everyone felt at ease. Hiring an intimacy coordinator should be standard practice and Asha and Nedra are two of the best.
